Installation method:

Drill a 2mm hole; use a round punch or a round masonry nail. Place the rivet in the hole, turn the board over and rest it on a wood board (iron also works; wood deforms the rivet less and keeps its shape). Spread the rivet slightly with the punch, then hammer it flat.

For stable, reliable connections, rivet the rivets onto the board first, then soak in sodium hydroxide solution (lye) to remove oil, rinse, dip in hydrochloric acid (1:3) to remove the oxide layer, rinse under running water, and then solder.
