This wire is a silver-plated single-strand bare wire with no enamel insulation on the surface. It uses premium 4N oxygen-free copper (99.99% purity, rare domestically); it conducts quickly, has excellent high-frequency response and a clean sound, making it the preferred material for point-to-point tube amp building (especially ground wires, where it effectively lowers the noise floor). It also works as speaker cable, loudspeaker wire – great treble – and even for jewelry. The listed price is per meter; it can also be sold by the kilogram. Silver-plated wire comes in 1.2mm and 0.7mm; tin-plated wire comes in 0.5mm and 1.2mm.

Silver-plated copper wire is made by plating a thick silver layer over a high-quality oxygen-free copper core (99.99% purity). It combines the virtues of both metals: excellent conductivity, a bright lustrous surface, and the silver layer is highly corrosion-resistant.
