New Z9 grain-oriented silicon steel transformer laminations from Kawasaki / Nippon Steel (Japan), 0.23 mm thick, available in EI66 / 76 / 86 / 96 / 114. Price is per kilogram. We also stock 0.27 mm and 0.35 mm laminations.
These laminations are grain-oriented with very high permeability (up to 1.91 T) and very low core loss (only 0.64 W/kg) – an ideal magnetic material for output, driver and power transformers in high-end tube amplifiers. To obtain the best characteristics, efficiency, low noise and low heat, we strongly recommend stacking the laminations one by one in the grain direction. Detailed parameters:
